Bike’topia is a premiere, privatized, accessible bicycle sharing program offered in San Francisco.

The program’s vision is “a pedal for every citizen” and to become the preferred cycle sharing program of the Bay Area by offering a wide selection of bikes that are self-serviced and offer rewards for their use.

The program is a paid subscription service that provides members access to a menu of bikes throughout the City. In additional to making bikes accessible, members also have access to live metric data of their biking activity collected from a wireless system deployed throughout the city.

These statistics, which are converted to points, can then be leveraged by the customer in exchange for incentives, such as discounts to local stores and businesses. Discounts are delivered automatically to the customer’s account online and are contextually based on the route data of the customer.

Essentially, the more you ride, the more you save, financially and environmentally.
